Registration is now open.

See information about registration fees and payment deadlines below.

1.  Families must be members of Kansas City Homeschool Connection (KCHC) and have homeschooled at least one year in addition to the senior year. Membership link is available on the home page of this website.

2.  Although this KCHC graduation ceremony is open to all KCHC members, the majority of the participants hold a Christian world view. Therefore, Christian attitudes and beliefs will be reflected in all class activities and this ceremony.

3.  It is highly recommended that the senior and/or at least one parent attend all class meetings. The April meeting and the graduation rehearsal are mandatory for the Senior and at least one parent. Failure to attend either of these meetings will rescind this participation commitment and nullify your right to graduate with KCHC.

4.  Graduation Registration fees are as follows: Graduation fees are $250. Families who remit their full payment by the early registration deadline of November 20, 2023 will receive an early-bird discount of $50. Families who are making payment after the early-bird deadline will be responsible for paying the full $250 fee. Payments and late fees will not be accepted after January 20, 2024. Returned checks will incur an administrative charge of $35 to cover our bank fees. Make checks payable to KCHC.

5.  All deadlines must be met in order to participate in the graduation ceremony. These deadlines include paying fees, submitting photos and biographies, and submitting various order forms.

6.  The KCHC Senior Class Parents group on the BAND app will be the primary form of communication for the 2024 Senior Class. Invitations to the group will be sent to the parent’s emails listed on the registration form. Pertinent KCHC Senior Class information will also be available on this website under the Class News tab. Meetings are highly recommended as they will cover many topics relevant to the graduating class. Families must submit current phone and email addresses to the Senior Class. Each family is responsible to regularly check the BAND app and read class emails. Attendance at graduation rehearsal in May is mandatory for student and at least one parent. Failure to attend rehearsal will result in that student not walking. Families without internet access in the home are not excluded from this responsibility. They must obtain information from another participating family or access the internet at their local library.

7.  The KCHC diploma is a courtesy and is issued by the parent(s). Possession of the certificate does not verify the student’s work; that is solely the responsibility of the parent(s). The KCHC diploma is not accredited.

8.  Due to contractual agreements with vendors, all payments are non-refundable.

9. Public school superintendents, legislatures, and KCHC do not recognize online private accredited school, virtual public high schools, distance learning and other public school-at-home programs as homeschooling. Homeschooling does not include public/private school at home as those students are enrolled in a district school or a private school. To qualify as a homeschooling family, the requirements of Missouri homeschool law RSMo. 167.031 (or the corresponding statute in your state) must be met. It is the responsibility of the homeschooling parents to determine if the requirements for graduation have been appropriately and legally met. If you have a question about your status, please feel free to contact us directly.

NO Graduation registration will be accepted after January 20, 2024.

*Any student who has not paid their graduation fee in full by January 20, 2024 will be removed from the graduate list and will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.

All graduate families must have a membership in KCHC to participate.
